Modernize a digital platform to enhance information access and facilitate seamless content updates
The challenge
Driven by evolving standards in accessibility and user experience, alongside an outdated and rigid technical framework, the Brain Institute sought to reimagine its website to better serve its mission and audience.
The project and its results
The new website version is built on a Drupal technical foundation and features a new visual identity aligned with the Brain Institute's brand guidelines.
On the back end, the platform offers advanced flexibility and autonomy in content management, integrating a suite of page-building tools and modular components to meet the specific information-sharing needs of this public-interest foundation. The project included extensive work from the UX team, who overhauled the site structure and conducted user testing to validate main page prototypes. This user-centered approach resulted in a streamlined interface, significantly enhancing information accessibility. Additionally, the site incorporates the Algolia search engine, optimizing content discovery to ensure users can quickly access relevant information.
The partnership is set to continue with further technical advancements and optimizations, with a focus on UX/UI enhancements. The agency will also be responsible for maintaining the site ecosystem, ensuring it remains responsive to evolving technological standards.
